Traditional wedding photography is a record of the occasion: recording the guests, what they look like, what they are wearing, and what is happening on the day. The customers are given a set of formulaic prints that document their marriage. Just like many Photographers, traditional images are well crafted but often lack soul.
Storybook wedding photography is where record photography goes one stage further. All the details and moments of the day are captured, telling the story of the day often through ‘rose-tinted glasses.’ Even the bride’s shoes get their own shot! This is still essentially recorded photography, but usually the ‘people pictures’ take on a less formal style with only a few of the people showing eye contact with the camera.
Reportage comes next and out goes the rose-tinted glasses! The reportage style is meant to show it as it is. Reportage is the purest form of record photography. It is all too easy to do reportage badly, shooting all day to produce nothing of real substance. The great reportage photographers are just that, great craftsmen and people of the highest caliber. They have the uncanny ability to always be in the right place at the right time with the right lens and get the shot in difficult light without being noticed.
Brand or personal style is a departure from record photography. There is a whole gamut of genres labeled with a particular brand or a personal style ranging from mainstream fashion to simple minimalism. This work is the product of a directed photo shoot, an extreme degree of photographer intervention. This is where photographers take control and implement their own unique style. The directed shoot is often made to look natural and as if it really happened without intervention. The key to this kind of work is in the subject itself. Even though a photograph has been totally set up it can have immense value. This style has been the key to our success over the years. The Love grove style is very much in demand and often copied.
The bottom line is:
It’s easy to photograph the bride and groom, but it’s much more difficult to capture the love that exists between them. It’s the ability to shoot love, fun, tenderness, and beauty that makes the work of the great wedding photographers stand head and shoulders above the rest and we make sure we never fail to do that.
The difference between good amateur photographs taken at a wedding by some 'Uncle' and those by an official professional photographer is to a large part down to exposure and printing skills. Digital photography is now there for all, and no longer the prerogative of wealthy hobbyists and professionals. Once again, we find the craft of photography is back. Professional work is being pushed to new, higher standards to keep the edge over mainstream amateur work.

Being a competent wedding photographer is much more than just having the ability to take impressive pictures – that in itself should be an essential skill that, sadly, many photographers fail to achieve. We have time and again proven ourselves to be the best Orlando photographers in the business by catching small nuances to produce results. We always try to be creative and efficient within the time allotted to us – and that takes knowledge and practice.
There is no substitute for practical experience but, to be the excellent wedding photographer and wedding videographer we are sometimes tactician, comedian, diplomat, motivator, suppressor, improviser, sergeant-major, sympathizer, clairvoyant, detective and all-around problem-solvers. We not only possess all these character traits but are able to switch from one to another instantly and to keep it up for ten hours or more come (and in) rain or shine. Knowledge is an essential requirement that the wedding photographer needs in order to be ahead of the game and/or to cope with the unexpected – and the unexpected always happens but we always ready for the worst situations.
Photographing weddings is one of the most rewarding, inspiring and creative assignments that we love to shoot by producing creative images that the couple will cherish and enjoy for many years to come.
Driven by emotion and anticipation, a wedding is about the excitement that starts when the bride begins to prepare for the thrilling day ahead, with the delivery of the flowers and the fitting of the dress, the anticipation, and excitement growing with the arrival at the ceremony and everyone’s eyes on the bride as she makes her entrance towards the waiting room. The fairy tale builds through the ceremony and on to the reception, where we capture the couple’s experiences in a creative and imaginative style.
We at A magic moment believes that a wedding photographer requires a significant number of techniques to enable a successful outcome, and it will come as no surprise that being a good photographer is essential. Wedding photography calls upon a number of talents to produce quality images that will not only be cherished but will also sell. Our skills include portraiture, fashion photography, wedding photography and wedding videography, still life and Engagement photography, and photojournalism.
We produce creative and inspirational photography while exhibiting a wide range of social skills. We believe that a skilled photographer must be able to handle the pressure that the day will generate, should deal with timings that run late, shoot the groups in less than half an hour, produce quality images every time. He should be able to handle camera functions and flash intuitively and instinctively, adjusting for the changing lighting conditions without interrupting the flow of the day. He should know how to communicate his instructions and directions effectively to the wedding party and all the time keeping an eye on the timings.
However, after handling all the challenging situations and enjoying an adrenaline rush, there is nothing more rewarding than completing a wedding shoot successfully, taking stunning, creative and quality images and at the same time receiving compliments from the bride, groom and guests on how we have handled the day in a humorous and professional manner. Our role as a wedding photographer is to capture the memories of the day through our images and imagination. After all, in years to come, it will be those images that will evoke the couple’s memories.

]]>Before entering the party, guests grabbed a customized invitation, which was adorned with Emma's birthday logo that read "Emma-Versal," showing that the day was going to be all about celebrating 13 years of Emma.
Emma wore a rhinestone studded, corset dress with a delicate tulle skirt. Later in the night, the tulle skirt came off and revealed a short feathered skirt. To complete the look, Emma wore a pair of custom platform sneakers that were silver and adorned with pink rhinestones. SO cute!
As it was the beginning of spring, there were pink tulips and candles adorning every table, which was draped in a simple silver tablecloth. We're still dreaming of the delectable candy buffet that featured pink rock candy, pink marshmallows, jelly beans and tons more treats! Attendants brought around her de'oeuvres and there were various food stations to satisfy all of the guests! Let's talk about the cupcake tree. Instead of a traditional birthday cake, Emma opted for three different flavors of cupcakes that were arranged on a tree. Such a creative touch!
Guests danced the Horah, took photos using the Magic Mirror Booth and viewed a touching candle ceremony. There was no shortage of entertainment and this party was a blast!

Happy Mother's Day from A Magic Moment Photography.

With their wands at the ready, Jorge and Lissette started their adventure together. The engagement shoot featured the couple in matching crimson outfits, complete with some of their favorite Harry Potter books and magical wands as props. The greatest accessory to the entire shoot was their endearing and contagious smiles. They looked so comfortable in front of the camera and with each other; you can say they put a spell on us. Her ring was beyond stunning, Jorge said he made it a Horcrux so he could keep a little bit of him with her, always.
Chapter 2. The Big Day
Hufflepuff vs. Gryffindor, a match made in love. The bride and groom wore their respected colors and took the aisle. The seeker, I mean the bride Lissette, wore a fabulous gown with an accentuating red ribbon and a golden snitch in her hair to top it off. Her bridesmaids, dressed in gorgeous red dresses, had snitches in their hair, excitement in their eyes and were about to witness love in its purest form.
The captain for the other team, better known as Jorge, and his most trusted men donned black tuxes with yellow accessories, matching stripped socks and the groom himself wore his teams’ emblem on his jacket. They were a force to be reckoned with and everybody could see it.
As both teams walked down the aisle, nothing but smiles and laughter filled the air. For they weren't here to battle it out, but to join each other in a bond so strong not even Voldemort could break it. No love potions were needed and no magic wand was used, the fantasy became their reality.
Chapter 3. The After Party
Once the ceremony was done, the celebration began! In true Hogwarts fashion, a banquet room was filled with potions, owls, wands at the place settings and a Marauder's Map to show you to your seat. It was as if for a night, we all ran through Platform 9 ¾’s and were in the fantasy land we always dreamed of growing up.
The toasts were given, the bouquet and garter threw, the cake was eaten and the newlyweds plus their guests danced the night away. For what started off as separate teams, ended in one truly magical couple. She may have caught the golden snitch but he caught her heart.

When the Bat Mitzvah is based an around the beautiful blush color of roses, you know you're in for a treat. From the pink table cloth that was adorned with rose petals to the centerpieces that featured a silver tree covered in pink pearls, pink aroses and hydrangeas, the décor was perfection. Terra cotta flower pots filled with green paper to imitate grass and a pink chocolate rose were placed at each guest's table setting. Overlooking the dance floor sat a rectangular table, upon which sat a row of pink roses and candles. Simply stunning!
How fantastic is that cake? Keeping with the rose theme, Sprinkles Custom Cakes designed a pink cake with silver and rose detailing. In between tearing up the dance floor and taking photos using either the Touch Screen Mingle or photo booth, guests indulged in a Sundae Bar.
One of our favorite moments was Marni's dance with her father, Richard. The father-daughter dance was such a sweet moment. The entire night was amazing and Marni's Bat Mitzvah was definitely an affair to remember!
In the days following Marni's Bat Mitzvah, I asked Richard for some advice when planning a Mitzvah. He suggest that both kids and parents ask questions about vendors, services and products when attending other parties. One sage piece of advice Richard gave was to "make the party for the kids." We love knowing that Marni's Bat Mitzvah showcased her own tastes and personality.

There was certainly not a lack of activities for Max's guests! They played foosball, air hockey, arcade games and skated around the Daytona Ice Arena. The doorway to the Arena was flanked by silver, black and white balloons with balloons spelling out Max's name. Rebecca designed and Paul, Max's father, built the centerpieces, which is comprised of a hockey skate stuffed with balloons and tinsel. The hockey skates were actually Max's from previous years. How cool are those?! Two Left Feet provided a customized ice sculpture, which was carved with the Penguin logo and Maxwell's name.
Guests received foam fingers and tons of other customized party favors. Guests noshed on food including stadium style pretzels, a s'more station and a chocolate fountain. Rebecca Goldberg made all of desserts including sea salt dark chocolate truffles, funfetti truffles, chocolate covered pretzels and more!
One of our favorite details was the customized Hockey Stick Adirondack Chair, which Max was raised in during the Hora Dance. Everyone had such a blast dancing, playing games, skating and celebrating Max. It was definitely a day to remember!

Nora, the soon-to-be bride, changed gowns midway through the party. First, she wore a long gold and pink gown and then changed into an embellished bustier dress with a short lace skirt. Pearls, rhinestones, and roses embellished her lace peep toe pumps and seeing as her bridal party took place in December, we're sure Nora was thankful for the mild winter weddings. She wore a feather plume in her hair, which was done in a beautiful up-do.
Just look at that dessert table! It was piled high with elaborately decorated cakes, macaroons, petit fours, chocolate covered pretzels, cookies decorated to look like fans and much more! After Nora's grand entrance, uniformed attendants assembled a pink candy bar.
Nora held court and presented winners with baskets filled with prizes following lively dances and games, including musical chairs.

He invited friends and family to his ceremony, which featured Cantor Debbi Ballard beautifully singing and playing guitar, with a reception to follow. Guests took part in a customized candy bar and popcorn bar by SweetBliss Couture Candy Station. YUM! His cake was a white frosted cake topped with a take on Universal Studios logo (the Greenip family designed it especially for the event), which was in a gilded frame and said 'Jony's Bar Mitzvah.' Can we point out how cool Jony's customized shoes are? They were airbrushed by Fester Custom Airbrushing so that Jony's special birthday logo adorned each shoe.
Guests left with customized bags and shirts, which kept with the Universal theme. Following the party Jonathan and his guests, who were able to store their treats in their new customized bags, all went to parks at Universal Studios. It was definitely a birthday to remember!

There were customized poker chips that were emblazoned with David's name and Las Vegas themed cookies that served as name cards. Sandy Bonus painted customized signs for each of the tables, including a depiction of Elvis, the infamous 'Welcome to Las Vegas' sign, a jackpot, the Blue Man Group and more!
David's family rented out an auditorium within the center and showed a video of David's life. There was a candle ceremony as the fantastic Orlando Big Band played. Then guests joined the Soll family in the DeVos family room, which was decorated so beautifully with tons of flowers and lights! How great is that space?
For his grand entrance, a spotlight fell on David as he rode a hoverboard into his party and high-fived guests as he zoomed by. Guests played games, ate food, danced and took pictures using our interactive touchscreen photo booth.

We joined the soon to be newlyweds at the beautiful Kraft Azalea Garden for their "first look." We're obsessed with her bouquet, which featured purple roses and succulents, which are the perfect addition to any bouquet.

One of the sweetest moments was the bride reading a hand-written letter from her soon-to-be husband before she got dressed.
The bride, who wore a beautiful Maggie Soterro gown with lace overlay, was radiant. The beautiful lace dress, the soft bridesmaid grey dresses and bouquets made up of succulents and roses made for a the perfect autumn wedding. The groom and groomsmen wore rose and succulent boutonnieres pinned to their lapels. The couple's dog wore a traditional tuxedo and was the cutest four-legged guest at the wedding!
The two forwent the traditional wedding cake and chose to have four tiers of cupcakes by It's Tasty Too, which were topped with a white-frosted cake. The newlyweds and their friends and family danced until Erin and Mike rode away on a bicycle taxi.

The food was fantastic and featured a wide range of food including three different versions of mashed potatoes and a DIY Ice Cream Sundae bar. Justin's cake featured chocolate musical notes adorning the white frosting. So beautiful.

There was no shortage of in-flight entertainment at this party. Guests hit the dance floor for music and entertainment by Zohler-Sobel Entertainment. Everyone loved the jugglers and then Jordan helped by throwing more pins to the juggler. Catering was provided by Arthur's Catering and the Avocado Bar was a huge hit! Guests received a bowl of avocado and then chose their toppings of choice including roasted corn, fresh tomato, garbanzo beans and more. Who doesn't love avocado? The two met at a mutual friend's party when they discovered that they had a shared love of cars. Alyssa threw her keys to Stephen, who dropped them through the stairs. Ever since the two have been inseparable. When Stephen proposed to Alyssa, he brought her to the garage where they met and surprised her with a caricature artist who began drawing. As their family and friends began to arrive, the hand was left blank on the drawing and Stephen surprised her with a ring.
The ceremony took place at the Wedding Pavilion at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, one of the most magical locations at Disney to get married. The bride arrived in a glass carriage and looked every bit a fairy-tale princess, right down to her shoes. Stephen, a decorated member of the U.S. Navy, looked dapper in his uniform.
Following the ceremony, the bride and groom made their way to the St. Augustine Ballroom, which was decorated to the nines. Bountiful flowers, a silhouette of Cinderella and her prince, and romantic candles.
Minnie and Mickey Mouse, dressed in their best formal wear, helped the newlyweds to cut their cake and danced and posed with guests. Sophia, the flower girl, particularly enjoyed dancing with Minnie.
This was certainly a magical day to be remembered forever!

The reception hall was filled with woodsy centerpieces and natural floral arrangements, which lent itself well to the rustic charm of the Carlouel Yacht Club. 'Mr and Mrs' was painted in gold paint on two wooden stumps and placed at the bride and groom's seats.
Both cakes were perfection. The groom's cake was completely chocolate and decorated to look like a tree stump. To tie in with the theme, the bride's cake was placed atop a large wooden base. It was a delicate white frosting adorned with gold detailing and succulents (I cannot emphasize how obsessed I am with succulents as a floral decor). The cake topper was a delicate porcelain sculpture with gold detailing and an inscription that said 'Anne and Albert, October 15, 1907 - 1957.' Such a sweet and beautiful detail. A table in the reception room also paid homage to the newlyweds families.
This wedding is filled with tons of details and was such an organic, romantic and elegant affair.

]]>After a whirlwind romance, Matthew got the courage to ask Kathleen to be his wife. She told us, "We dated for 6 months and then he asked me to marry him. He carried the ring all weekend getting up the nerve to ask. He finally asked me Sunday evening and I, of course, said yes. Matt is a wonderful man and I look forward to sharing the rest of my life with him and our children."
The couple had an intimate outdoor ceremony, with a harpist playing and a lovely unity sand ceremony. The bride's son, Noah, was the ring bearer and stole the show in his suit with a pink tie. So adorable! We loved how the soft pink, white and blue flowers were carried throughout the ceremony and that the bride and groom's wedding rings were designed to mirror one another in style.
Guests spent the large part of the time dancing outside and had a blast. To end the ceremony guests blew bubbles at the exiting newlyweds! Noah particularly enjoyed the bubbles and played with them throughout the reception.
Congratulations to the newlyweds! You can see how happy they make each other.

A carved memory box for guests to commemorate the day, pink rose petals sprinkled on the tables, the bride's Minnie Mouse, shaped barrettes, the cake cutter that was engraved with Mickey Mouse and a quote that read "where dreams come true." Faith and Gene's dream definitely came true that day.
We absolutely loved that as Faith (wearing Minnie Mouse ears and an attached veil) and Gene exited the hotel, guests showered the bride and groom with bubbles. We are so happy this lovely couple let us photograph their special day! Best wishes!

We absolutely adored the cake that read "and they lived happily ever after" and it went well with the bride's bouquet charm that read "faith, trust and pixie dust."
In between dancing and a delicious meal, guests were invited to have caricatures drawn of themselves. Such a fun and unique idea to commemorate a special day!
Thank you for letting us be a part of your fairy tale wedding Nicole and Joshua! We wish you nothing but continued happiness in the years to follow!
David is such a wonderful young man and we wish nothing but continued success for his future!
We loved the mini bride and groom who walked down the aisle and the flower girl's crown was so adorable! It seems fitting that the groom's cake paid homage to The Godfather, as the wedding took place at the Lowes Portofino Bay Hotel, an upscale Italian themed hotel. Guests enjoyed food, a lot of dancing and dressing up to take pictures in the photobooth.
Their day was as perfect as they both are and we couldn't happier that they let us document their wedding day!

The reception hall, which was decorated with blue accents to adhere to the theme, offered plenty of space for mingling and dancing. Guests jammed to a variety of music and had a blast taking pictures in the photobooth! Guests received customized candles to commemorate the couple.
The groom's cake, which was especially intrigued the flower girl, was shaped and decorated to represent a Nike box. This echoed the blue sneakers that he wore during the ceremony. The groom used a football during the garter toss. So creative!
In a touching moment, Lauren's Chi Omega Sorority sister's created a circle around her and sang.
As Cedric and Lauren left the reception flanked by sparklers on either side of them. Such a magical moment.
Every detail of their wedding day was meaningful, fun and reflected who they are as a couple!
We would like to congratulate Lauren and Cedric in the upcoming birth of their little girl and their purchase of their first home together! We're excited for you both and hope babyhood brings with it many wonderful and long lasting memories. We wish nothing but continued happiness for your lives together!
We are in love with the rustic-chic wedding decor, which lent itself well to the natural surroundings of Lake Oconee and the rustically elegant Ritz-Carlton resort. We especially coveted Megan's cowboy boots. At the reception, guests were given adorable jars filled with candied pecans and customized coozies.
The band was full of life and kept guests on their toes for the entirety of the reception. This was such a FUN wedding to capture!
Congratulations Megan and Jonathan! We wish you nothing but happiness in your life together! Cheers to all the adventures yet to come!

Alex and Vanessa are getting married in April at the Bohemian Hotel Celebration. The couple met at work in Crystal River, Florida where they switched departments to be closer to each other. The story behind the photos
Paul Rovinsky had a job opening at his medical sales company and Jen Van Kirk was one of his applicants. When Jen, a pretty and tall blonde, arrived for the job interview Paul couldn’t stop smiling and he knew it was love at first site. Jen was hired for the job position and the two quickly became close friends through working together. After two years they decided to act on their feelings for one another and they started dating. After two years of dating, conversations were starting to come up about Jen moving to Florida for work. Paul knew Jen was the one he wanted to spend his life with and he didn’t want her to make the move without him by her side. The week before Jen was planning on moving Paul took her on a date to the restaurant where they had their first date. Paul nervously got on one knee and pulled out the beautiful diamond engagement ring he had picked out for her. Paul expressed his love for her and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. With tears starting to stream down Jen’s face she joyously said yes and the two moved down to Florida together shortly after. They decided to get married on October 27th at the beautiful Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, FL. Paul is extremely thankful that he chose to interview Jen for that open position.

]]>Dani DeMarco & Adam Meek both attended the University of Pittsburgh and happened to meet in 2007 on the day that Dani was moving into Adam’s apartment complex. Adam and his puppy Leo happened to be sitting on the stairs of his apartment building as Dani’s family was moving her in. Adam nicely offered to help them move but Dani’s father said that they had it covered; however Dani’s mom was so impressed that he had offered.
Dani and Adam quickly started off as friendly neighbors and then there friendship progressed from there. The two got along so well that the following year Adam ended up moving in with Dani and three of her girlfriends. Dani was involved in a long distance relationship at this time but Adam didn’t wait long after that relationship dissolved to express his feelings toward her. Dani’s parents were very fond of Adam from the start. They thought he was polite, caring, friendly, and easygoing and could definitely see that he would be a suitable match for their daughter. Therefore, they were very happy when Dani told them they were a couple. While at school in Pittsburgh, Adam found out that his mom was dying of cancer and Dani stood by Adam’s side and helped him get through this horrible time in his life. Dani got to know Adam’s mom before she passed away because she would go with him on his trips to visit her in Virginia.
After college, Dani wanted to move to Florida, not only to be with her family but she wanted to perform and work at one of the theme parks. Dani went ahead and took a job at Sea World as a performer in the Sesame Street show. Dani and Adam were only apart for 2 weeks before Adam landed a job with Civil Engineering Company in Orlando and immediately made arrangements to move down to Florida. Dani and Adam’s relationship grew stronger and Adam was confident that Dani was the one girl he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. One Friday night in June of 2011, he picked her up from the airport and she walked into her house filled with flower petals, candles, and candies that lead all the way up the stairs to her bedroom. In the middle of her bed there was a box, which was surrounded by candles and flowers in the shape of a heart- he took the box from the bed, got on one knee, and proposed to Dani.

Courtney Skultety and Tucker McGrath met at a club while Courtney was out for her friends’ bachelorette party. She was in a booth having some drinks with her friends and Courtney had the urge to dance. None of her friends wanted to dance because the dance floor was still empty. All of a sudden a strange guy (Tucker) came up to her booth and asked her to dance and immediately Courtney said yes. They talked more than danced that night and Tucker TOLD her he was taking her to sushi that following week; he didn’t ask. They ended up going on a few dates but Courtney didn’t feel a spark right away. They continued a friendship and ended up running into each other out and about with their own groups of friends. Courtney realized that he was meant to be in her life and they ended up starting to see each other seriously. After only 4 months of dating Courtney moved in with Tucker. Then, 7 years later Courtney and Tucker decided to get married. They had discussed their wedding in brief detail but she didn’t know when Tucker would pop the question.
Tucker took Courtney’s dad out to dinner and asked for his approval before popping the question one night. That same night, Tucker got on one knee and proposed to Courtney and when he was walking toward her with a box she shrieked “Oh my god, what are you doing?” He responded with “About to make the best decision of my life. Will you kindly do me the favor of spending the rest of your life with me? She screamed out of happiness and said “YES” while putting the ring on her finger.
They had their reception at the beautiful Hammock Dunes Club on 10/22/12 and the following day they had their wedding at the Palm Coast Yacht Club.
